On Monday , Year 3 travelled back to the Stone Age for the morning!
We started with an animal tracking walk, and found and identified so many different tracks !
We then spent the rest of the morning at Hedge School , trying a variety of different activities.
We had a go at lighting fires with flint and steels, whittled sticks to make spears, cooked our 'authentic stone age marshmallows' on the fire, ground wheat with a stone to make flour, and created stone age jewellery with charcoal and wood rounds.
We all had such a lovely time, and were so impressed with how enthusiastic and resilient the children were with trying all the activities. Well done, Year 3!
