Parent Survey

Each year we ask for your help in completing our Parent Survey so that we can make appropriate improvements to our school to make it even better. Previous feedback has been used to inform our school improvement plan and our strategic road map. We really value your feedback as we can only make Rodings better by knowing everyone's views. Once the questionnaire deadline passes, the result will be analysed and discussed by the Governing Board. Changes to School Uniform

Following the most recent Governing Board meeting, we have made some changes to our school unform policy. Some of the changes have been considered due to parental feedback and suggestions from School Parliament.

Firstly, book bags will be replaced by a backpack. We have done this following feedback that the current book bags don't last very long and that they don't have enough capacity to carry what the children need. The bag in the image below may not be the final version as we have requested a version with a water bottle holder which Create Identitee are investigating.

We are also introducing an optional school winter coat in two colours.

Finally, we are changing our PE tops to house colours. This is to help promote participation in the houses and really reiterate the belonging to your house.

All the changes will be phased in, so you will not need to go out and buy a new uniform until it is too small, or it has worn out. As usual, you do not need to buy uniform with logos and Create Identitee will start supplying our uniform without the logo to make it cheaper.

Create Identitee will once again have their discount week over the summer. Furthermore, we are currently negotiating dates where we will collect new uniform for September and bring it to school so that you don't have to pay any delivery charges.

This week at Forest School...

The Goslings went to Hedge School this week , to give the waterlogged forest and our tired muddy legs a chance to recover !

We started off talking about the wheel of the year, as today is the Spring Equinox-the day that is halfway between the winter and summer solstices where day and night are equal.

We then had a lovely morning playing with nature playdough, making bunting with Hapa Zome (banging leaves and flowers with a hammer onto fabric), and, back by popular demand, toasting marshmallows on the fire! The sun even made an appearance! What a lovely spring morning!

Emily plays for the girls Dunmow Rovers team and in her last match Emily got the girl of the match trophy !!

Well done Emily, we are very proud of you :-)

Dexter was chosen to represent the Under 10’s at the Hertford Rugby Festival weekend before last and he won all 4 of his matches.
He also played for the Bishops Stortford Rugby Festival on Sunday and won all 4 of his matches too!
He only started playing rugby in October and he is a natural, we are so proud of him!

Well done Dexter, we are so proud of you :-)
