Welcome back...
I hope that you were able to have an enjoyable Easter break, and you had a relaxing and restful time with family and friends. The summer term is always an event-filled and exciting time of year and this term will be no exception. Below is some additional information about the events due in the next couple of weeks. We have also updated the calendar section of the newsletter app to include more advanced warning of activities coming up. You will find this at the end of the newsletter.
New Starters - September 2024
Firstly, welcome to all our new children and families that will be joining the Goslings Class in September. We are really looking forward to you becoming an important part of the Rodings family. Shortly, you will receive a welcome letter with more details about the transition to Rodings. However, the first date for your diary is Wednesday 5th June at 7pm for a new parents meeting.
Coffee Morning
Following the success of the SEND Coffee Catch-up sessions, I will be reintroducing my Headteacher's Coffee Mornings. The first date being Wednesday 24th April at 9:30am. This is an opportunity to pop into school and have an informal gathering with me and other parents to discuss school developments or issues that are affecting children. I'm hoping to hold one every half term. Everyone is welcome!
Class Photos - Change of Date
Due to a diary clash, we have had to change the date for class photographs to Monday 20th May. This replaces the 30th April date which was previously advertised.
New Uniform Items Now Live
Create Identitee have updated the Rodings' uniform page on their website to include the new items previously mentioned in this newsletter. Please remember that we are making a gradual transition to the new PE tops and backpacks. You do not need to purchase these items now. Create Identitee will be holding their usual summer discount week over the summer holidays with details to follow. We are also trying to negotiate a deal on delivery as well.
Bike Storage
Due to funding provided by Ride London, we have been able to purchase a bike rack and bike shelter for the school. A bike rack has been installed at the front of the school for any adults that want to ride their bike to school. A children's bike shelter is going to be installed in the playground later. You are more than welcome to use the bike rack at the front of the school. Any items will be left at the owner's risk. Thank you, Ride London!
And finally...
You may have noticed that Mr Partridge hasn't been about for the past couple of days. He is currently somewhere between London and Paris on a charity bike ride. We are so proud of Mr Partridge and the money he is raising for the British Heart Foundation and we wish him all the best for his journey.
Have a lovely weekend!
