From the desk of Mr Crawley

Just like that, another week has come to an end. It's another great week here at Rodings with so much going on. Amongst many other projects we've had music composers and theatre directors in to work with classes, various Art and DT projects on the go and Year 6 have been busy preparing for their end of year assembly.

Miss O'Mahony

Sadly, Miss O'Mahony will be leaving us at the end of this year. Whilst we know that we will miss her, we are really excited for her to begin her new adventure as she relocates to Cornwall. Miss O'Mahony has worked here for four years and has taught hundreds of children in all of our Year Groups. On behalf of everyone at Rodings we wish you all the very best at your new school.

Summer Fête

On behalf of the school I would like to give a well deserved thank you to our amazing Friends, who put on an incredibly successful Summer Fête. Their hard work and effort has meant an additional £3000 can be spent on improving the education of our children. Thank you!

Year 5 Aylmerton Information Evening

I will be holding a virtual information evening for parents of children in current Year 4 on Wednesday 13th June 2022 at 7:30pm. Please check your emails for further information.

Last Day of Term

I would just to remind you all again that the last day of term is Thursday 21st July at 1pm.

RSE Week

Next week we will be teaching our Relationship and Education curriculum lessons. Please check your Class Dojo pages for an overview of what is being covered.

I hope that you all have a lovely weekend.

Mr. C

Below is an outline of our Class based teams for next year. It's a really exciting time at Rodings as we continue to grow, and to reflect this we are delighted to welcome five new members of staff to our class based teams.

  • Miss Birch is joining us as a Class Teacher in Goslings
  • Miss Wright and Mrs George are joining our Class LSA Team
  • Miss Shelton and Mrs Wiseman are joining our 1:1 LSA Support Team

We are really excited to welcome them our Rodings family and for them to bring their knowledge and experience to our team.

As well as Miss Birch, you may spot another new name amongst our Reception Teachers below. Although a new name this is not a new face, as our lovely Miss Wright is getting married over the summer and will be changing her name to Mrs Gare.

School News

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who made our summer fete such a great success - to all the helpers who gave up their time to plan, organise and run the day, to all the staff who helped in the build up, put up with us taking over the school and helped run the event, to all our fantastic stall holders and raffle prize supporters, and to all of you who came along (despite the showers!) and had fun! It was so lovely to see so many happy faces and we’re on track to have raised over £3,000 for our amazing school! Thank you so, so much!!
