Celebration Assembly
Today, we held our half termly Effort Cup assembly. It was great to celebrate all the wonderful achievements from the last few weeks.
Our Effort Cup nominees are picture below. Congratulations to Indie and Lottie who are our overall winners.
We also rewarded those that have worked hard in science, made great progress or shown a real enthusiasm for the subject.
Thinking Day
On 22nd February members of Girlguiding will be celebrating Thinking Day and members of Scouts will celebrate Founders Day. On this day children can wear their uniforms to school.
It is called Founders Day because it is the birthday of Lord Baden-Powell who started the movement in 1908. He then started the Girl Guides with his sister in 1910. Later his wife, Olave, became Chief Guide and her birthday was 22nd February too. Girlguiding think about Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers and leaders around the world on this day.
Goodbye Mrs Barnes
Today we said goodbye to Mrs Barnes who has worked in the school office for 12 years. In assembly, we presented her with a gift from the whole school to say 'Thank you' for her years of service and helping everyone.
We wish Mrs Barnes all the best for the future!
Finally, have a lovely half term and we will see you all on Tuesday 21st February.
Have a lovely weekend!
