Goodbye Mr Clements

I’m really sad to announce that Mr Clements will be leaving us during the summer holidays. He is moving out of the area and Rodings will be too far to commute everyday.

I’m sure you will join me in thanking him for seven years of dedicated service to Rodings. He has made a real difference to our school, making sure that it is safe, clean and well maintained. He has also supported many Friends events, making sure they have everything they need for a successful event.

Everyone at Rodings wishes you all the best on your new adventure and we will really miss you.

The Wind in the Willows

Congratulations to our Year 5 and 6s who put on a fantastic performance of The Wind in the Willows. It was a brilliant show with so many solo singers, great chorus singing and choreography. Watching Swans class put on their final performance at Rodings before moving onto secondary school was a very moving moment. We also managed to raise an incredible £450 from our bucket collection. This will go towards replacing the lights and sound in the hall. Well done to all the staff and children for a great show!

Annual Reports

Usually you would have received your child’s annual report by now. Due to staff illness, it has taken longer to process, check and validate the data that is contained in them. We hope to have them with you on Monday, Tuesday at the very latest. Apologies for the delay, and thanks for your understanding.

Arrangements for the final week

Could the children please bring a carrier bag with them from Wednesday so that they can bring their books and other belongings home for the holidays.

Could you have a search at home for any school reading books that need to be returned to school. Thank you!

On the last day we will close at 1pm.

Have a lovely weekend!

Mr Raraty

End of Term

Just a reminder that we finish at 1pm on Friday 21st July.  The children will have lunch, and then you can collect them to start the summer holidays.

Year 2 had an amazing couple of days doing their DT Pizza Project.  They designed and created their own pizzas and pizza boxes.  It was great fun...and the pizzas were delicious!

Clara took part in her first performing arts show this weekend, and she received her swimming awards for the term!

Well done Clara, we are so proud of you :-)

We’re so proud of Emily and Lydia for both passing their dance exams and securing the highest points in their classes at Dunmow Theatre Dance School.

Emily got a distinction in Grade 1 foundation ballet and Lydia an amazing 100% in her modern exam.

Well done Emily and Lydia, we are so proud of you :-)

We are so proud of Arthur who was chosen as Ollie Clark’s Tennis Player of the week, this weekend. Arthur works so hard in his sessions every Saturday and we love watching his amazing progress. Well Done Buddy!

Well done Arthur, we are so proud of you :-)

Isla, Annie, Rhalou, Alice, Oscar, Stanley and Kieran all took part in the 101st BHW Dance Summer Show at the Harlow Playhouse last weekend. They all worked so hard in the run up to the event, with extra practices and new routines to learn. It was such a pleasure to watch them all shine on stage and support each other so well, performing in front of a sell out audience and taking it all in their stride. We couldn’t be more proud!

Well done, we are so proud of you all :-)
